Emel 1979, Almanya, Hannover’de doğmuştur. Lisans eğitimini 2004 yılında, Dokuz Eylül üniversitesi Güzel Sanatlar Fakültesi Grafik Tasarım Bölümünde tamamlamıştır. Eğitimine, aynı üniversitenin Güzel Sanatlar Enstitüsü Grafik Tasarım Bölümünde Yüksek Lisans derecesinde devam etmektedir. 2002 yılından beri,İzmir ve İstanbul’da serbest çocuk kitabı çizeri ve tasarımcısı olarak çalışmaktadır. Çalışmalarında, dijital renlendirme,ekolin, guaj ve kuru kalem tekniklerini kullanmayı tercih etmektedir.

Emel was born in 1979 in Hanover, Germany. She graduated from Dokuz Eylul University in 2004 with a BA degree in Graphic Design. She has still been taking her MA in Graphic Design in Fine Arts Institute of Dokuz Eylul University, since September 2009. She has been working as a freelance illustrator since 2002 and worked in Istanbul between 2004 and 2008. She has been illustrating children’s books in Auckland, New Zealand since 2011. She prefers using digital colouring, ecoline, gouache and coloured pencil techniques for her illustrations.

 I have been designing and illustrating since 1998 and have worked for many well known publishers in Turkey. I am a professional user of Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign and Corel Painter.
